Game of Thrones Winter is Coming watercolour painting! I am so happy with how this game out. All the characters were really fun to draw! I hope everyone enjoys this piece as much as I do. New print for 2013. :)

Archaia and Ishimori Production Inc. are teaming up to re-interpret Shotaro Ishinomori’s classic manga series Cyborg 009 for Western readers. The new edition is written by F.J. DeSanto (The Spirit, Immortals: Gods and Heroes) and Bradley Cramp (Gattaca), and illustrated by Marcus To (Red Robin, The Huntress). Archaia has provided ROBOT 6 with an exclusive preview of the graphic novel, set for release early this year.
The story is about nine people who are kidnapped from around the world to become test subjects by The Black Ghost Organization, a secret society that provides weapons of mass destruction to the highest bidder. The victims are put through a series of experiments that transform them into super-powered weapons, but with the help of a compassionate project scientist, the living weapons rebel, escape, and set off on a mission to stop Black Ghost from plunging the world into a perpetual state of war.
The publisher states: “Created in 1964, Cyborg 009 was Japan’s first and most-popular super-team, quickly becoming one of the most influential manga series of all time. The original manga has been published in over 250,000,000 copies of weekly comics and comic books worldwide.” There’s also a new, 3D CGI animated feature film in the works in Japan, and DeSanto is working to produce a live-action version.
I am so insanely hype for this and Kenji Kamiyama’s 009 RE:CYBORG film. Marcus To has hit it out of the park with the art on this book and I hope the writing is just as good. It’s also being published by archaia, and archaia is pretty much guaranteed quality.
Thanks for Tumbling this, I’m glad that we finally get to start showing some pages to this book. Also the colourist Ian Herring is killing it on this and making my work a million times better.
Flash 15 should be in stores today. This book has continued to allow me to experiment and play around with my storytelling. In this issue, Barry has a “flash forward” in his unconscious state. Three potential outcomes streams out of his mind, so I decided to try and keep each stream continuous. The last half of the book is made up of all double page spreads which if you’re crazy enough to buy multiple copies can actually be viewed as one long image. As the streams go on, each one come to an end until there is only one stream, and then we’re brought back to the “real” word. This was a lot of fun to do, but also quite challenging. In the end I think it’s worth it, and I hope you all enjoy the issue. Happy New Years folks!
EDIT: Just wanted to say, that being able to put all the spreads together was meant to be more of an easter egg to astute readers. The book can be read with each spread normally.

Read the Flash Annual #1 yet? If not, spoilers ahead! The book was drawn by various artist who all did an exemplary job! Since the layouts are an important part of our writing process, this issue was no different. The contributing artist’s were cool enough to humor me and use my layouts to tell this massive story!
